Frances and Remi had such a beautiful wedding day. The sun was out, the weather was warm and all the events of the day ran smoothly from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, to Glendon Campus for portraits and to Granite Brewery for their reception. Although it wasn’t the day they had imagined, it was perfect. Here are the events of the day as they unfolded.
Frances started the day getting ready in her childhood home with her best friend as a bridesmaid, parents and her hair and makeup team.
Once I arrived, I got started with photographing the details. How gorgeous are these rings from Penwarden Jewellery.
I also love these masks. #QuarantinedForLife
After photographing the details, it was time for one of my favourite moments of the day… the parents first look! This was especially cute for me because Frances is filipino and so of course I see so much of my family in hers too. Their reactions were so sweet! And to have the first look happen in her childhood home makes it that much more special. 🙂
PS. Her dad was such a jokester. I think he said something along the lines of don’t stab me before this picture was taken. It was totally a dad joke (aka my favourite type of joke).
Now it was time to head over to the church for the ceremony. This picture of Frances’ dad helping her to the car is so priceless.
The ceremony took place at Frances’ family church Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Toronto. A gorgeous church with beautiful stained glass windows in the heart of Toronto right by Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West. With the help of her friends, guests were welcomed and ushered to their seats in anticipation of seeing the bride!
Now for my favourite part of the day, the couple portraits!
For Frances and Remi’s portraits we drove out to Glendon Campus. What a GORGEOUS spot for photos for those looking for classic stoney architecture, flowers and beautiful greenery. Lucky for us too, there wasn’t anyone there to photo bomb. 🙂 Even if there was you’d never know thanks to my photoshop skills. haha
How gorgeous does Frances look!! I’m obsessed with her hair and makeup. Charisse from All Dolled Up By Charisse did such an amazing job. I highly recommend connecting with her. She’s so passionate about what she does and is great at achieving that natural look.
Flower Fantasy also did such a wonderful job with the bouquet, boutonnieres and all of the flowers on their wedding day.
Once we were done with portraits, Frances and Remi brought me to their home where we spent time relaxing before the reception. Such a great idea to build a small break like this into your day if long portrait sessions aren’t your thing. What better way to capture your true personalities than by hanging out in a place you spend the most time together in.
They’re also big Mcdonald’s fans so you KNOW we had to Uber Eats that over. Love these two for buying me my first Big Mac!!! <3
On a side note, Frances sells these gorgeous plants with her company Folia Haus. Go check her out!!
Following our mini break, it was time to head over to the next venue. The reception took place at the Granite Brewery which is a perfect venue for those looking for a small outdoor patio space for their wedding reception. I loved this venue because of the cute lights, which you will see in the photos, and the brick walls. In addition to the space, their staff was super friendly and great at managing all of the COVID-19 safety protocols. I felt very safe photographing here and the food was great. 🙂 PS. There is a cute little courtyard just behind the brewery which is great for photos with guests.

And that’s a wrap! What a great day this was. If you have any questions about these vendors or locations, feel free to reach out. Happy planning!
“Stop looking and just book Amanda! I can’t begin to describe how amazing Amanda is. Our experience with her has been nothing but amazing! I was struggling to find a photographer that didn’t make us look ‘washed out’ and wanted our photos to be real and warm – I’m so glad we found her!! We were lucky enough to book and engagement shoot and have her at our covid wedding.
Amanda is extremely accommodating, easy to work with, friendly (super important), down to earth, and THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER. Planning and organizing the details of our wedding was an absolute mess due to all the changes that needed to happen because of COVID. – she stepped up and really took a load off of our shoulders and made this experience super memorable for us. My husband and I felt so comfortable with her every step of the way. Now we just need to find other reasons to have her as our photographer!!” – Frances
