Full transparency: this couple is not engaged and we did not take engagement photos of them but I did have the pleasure of photographing them in Centennial Park as part of my Fall Mini Sessions this year.
How adorable are they? 😭 This is Kim and Meka and they’re the sweetest couple ever and fun fact, they met during the early days of the pandemic! Socially distant dates, virtual hangs and now they live together. Love always prevails, folks. 💖
Centennial Park is gorgeous in the Fall. If you’re looking for those rich yellows, oranges and red tones, plan to visit this park during the last 3 weeks of October. The earlier you visit, the warmer it would be. These were taken October 18 and it was perfect. I’ll be there again next weekend and I’m banking for more reds but we’ll see!
The park is massive and so if you’re curious about the exact location, we shot these by Picnic Area 8. I chose this area because there’s a free parking lot, lots of trees that change colour in the Fall, willow trees, water and so many more pretty places to take photos. 💕
October 18 was actually a super gloomy and cloudy day which was great for balanced light but nothing beats the effect you get when the sun is about to set, aka golden hour, and so we had to fake it with some off camera light tricks.
For these shots I used the Godox AD 200, Godox trigger, Mag Shoe, Mag Grid, full CTO and a light stand. So cool right?! I love that rim light! For a full list of my gear, check out my gear page.

Created this beauty in camera… how fun is that!? The Canon 5dmiii has this functionality but you can also replicate a photo like this in photoshop. Also I’m so obsessed with this hat. So cute!
Centennial Park is fantastic. Such a perfect place for maternity, family, branding or engagement photos!! If anyone is up for spending time here with me, let me know! <3
Also if you’re there for a walk around, I highly recommend checking out the Etobicoke Centennial Park Conservatory, climbing the hill (you can actually see the CN Tower on a clear day) and visiting the ponds (you can even fish there!).
Also if you’re partial to frisbee golf, they have nets set up all over the park!
Oh and one last thing, the Centennial Park Golf Centre nearby is one of the most adorable I’ve seen. I love going there with my family and just practicing our swing haha.
Well enjoy and happy exploring!
